Inter-faith dialogue is becoming commonplace these days and many organizations are organizing it in view of inter-religious tensions in many countries in the world. USA had not known it earlier or very few organizations were involved but post 9/11 Islam came under attack and tensions between Christians and Muslims increased and so many organizations came into being organizing dialogues. Public reception for Dr. Asghar Ali Engineer in Germany
Dr. Asghar Ali Engineer was accorded public reception by Mayor of Tubingen during his visit to Germany from 18th to 27th May 2009. The function was held in Tubingen on 25th May 2009, which was attended by prominent citizens of Tubingen, University Professors and Members of Tubingen Corporation. The Newspapers carried article and TV channels carried the programme.
The reception was given as he has received Right Livelihood Honorary Award (Alternate Nobel Prize) from Sweden in 2004.
